The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund has awarded more than £3.5m over eight years towards the Innovative Farmers Duchy Future Farming Programme at Soil Association. The programme is funded through sales of Waitrose Duchy Organic products which promote good farming, good food and good causes.

Since 2012 , Innovative Farmers has launched 110 field labs and awarded over £400,000 in grants to groups of farmers supporting them to research the issues that matter to them. The latest Innovative Farmers Field Lab journal highlights the vital role that farming, land use and food systems play in tackling urgent climate and health crises. Practical on farm research is helping farmers adapt, by exploring ways to make their farms more sustainable, resilient and agile in the face of unprecedented challenges.

Take a look at a selection of the farmer-led research projects in the 2021 Field Lab Journal, discover their findings and learn the story of how they came about.
